Background

Over his career, Randy has worked on a number of projects and technical investigations. The following list illustrates the wide variety of projects that he has worked on:

 

Instruction of Diesel Truck Technology-1984 to present
   - Develop lesson objectives and plans; curriculum goals
   - Employ instructional materials and methods; assessment of students and preparation of      reports
   - Liaison to Department of Diesel Truck, Aviation, and Ag Power technology
  
Senior Technician for experimental prototype shop- part time
   - Build and assemble special vehicles
   - Modify vehicles to test new concepts
   - Work with engineers to resolve problems in experimental machines
   - Machine work as necessary to make or repair parts
   - Welding (gas and electric) as needed to support repair activity

Senior Maintenance Mechanic for Truck Line- part time
   
- Overhaul and repair of (diesel and gas) engines, transmissions, differentials, electrical      systems, steering boxes, brake systems, and air systems.
  
Technician for Implement Dealership- part time
   
- Repair and overhaul of all types of Agricultural machinery

Technician/Mechanic for Construction Company
   
- Repair, maintain and overhaul all types of construction machines and vehicles including      mounted, portable tools.
 
US Naval Reserve, Construction Mechanic- ten years
   
- Second Class petty officer
